Many countries encourage the use of cans in order to reduce noise pollution etc... Many people consider it rude to shoot without... and in the USA you have to play the waiting game in order to get one

Yes, whenever I fire my pellet gun I have found it to be way too loud for my liking so I bought a suppressor for it. Now I can fire it without hearing protection
