I tried searching most of these forums and internet without success on a small dilemma I am having.
Yes, I am wet behind the ears when it comes to weapon terms and how to ask certain questions, so please bear with me.

I have had my Daniel Defense AR for two years now. Plain iron sites on the omega 7 rail system. My rear sites can be taken off but the front site is fixed.

Do I have enough clearance with Pinned "F" Marked Front Sight Base with the following optics and mount?

My AR

Optics

Mount

I included links because I am a visual person.
Financially this is a big investment for me so I want to make sure I am buying everything right the first time and everything that is needed. Lastly, would "Butler Creek Caps" be a good investment?

Thank you all in advance!

Re: Buying optics for very first time.

In short.

Yes you can buy that optic and mount and both are quality iteams.

On 1x you will see your FSB in the lower objective of your optic. You should still be able to run the optic though.

If it really is a issue spend $25-$50 for a low profile gas block. Remove your FSB and replace it with the low profile gas block and drive on.

Re: Buying optics for very first time.

Thanks for the quick response.

I'll try it out on 1x and see if the FSB is an issue for me?

Going out to the range just isn't fun after 75 yards without optics. LOL
