I (shortly) will have a SN4-150 (1.5-6x) coming with the C2 reticle. I've been waiting for what I would consider a perfect 3-gun scope (ffp, mil/mil based, EREK-equiv turret, mil-reticle that's CQB & 600 yard useful, more mag than 3.5x or 4x) and I think the SN4-150 with the C2 is it. Now, if the SN-3 (1.8-10x) were available with the C2, I might have gone that option instead. Hell, I'm an Open shooter and I have a dot for the 50-yard and in stuff.
In my case I'll probably have a short range upper (SN4-150 w/ C2 + secondary JPoint) and a longer range upper (SN3 w/C2 + secondary JPoint).
A verbose way of saying, I would be in.

Just the fact that he is willing to absorb half the cost to make this happen is proof enough what kind of a business they are. They are without peer in the tactical scope world, IMO.
We really only need 3 more guys to do this..$100 per guy gets it done, hell aren't some of their reticles $86.00 anyway?

I'm sure Doc will chime in soon but when I was talking to him about the C2 reticle in general, we chatted about the 1.8-10. He was asking me some 3-gun ranges and other applications in terms of optimizing the reticle thickness. (In the CO 3-gun bigger matches, we do shoot longer ranges -- out to 600 yds). He also mentioned the large circle disappearing above mid-level magnifications.

The C2-10X is alive and well the question being "Who is going to buy it?" I have my ideas but I need to discuss things with the powers that be to achieve the optimal configuration. 1.5-6 was easy (er) but the 10X brings a whole different train of thought to the game.
Put your ideas up as to what you might like. You never know what will fall out of the east coast skunk works

Just ordered a USO 1.8-10x today with the JNG MIL for an SPR build. Ink on the check is still wet. If this reticule doesn't significantly delay my order, sign me up because its not too late for me to change reticules. I'm not sure how far along it's development is for the SN-3.
The C2 circle on the 1-6x is the reason I chose the similar JNG MIL over the GAP or MPR, which is microscopic at 1.8x. The C2 is much cleaner without the giant numbers and has a cleaner S&B-style P4 central crosshair at the high end which I like.

John from USO has gone out of his way to move forward with this including splitting the cost of development, I feel it would be a nice gesture for anyone interested in this for a current build to contribute something. You can pm myself, KevinTM, k2speaker, or John and Doc from USO to find out more details.

So here's the deal, I'll finish up the reticle and get it to John who will get it to the engineer who will then get it built. So it will take about 2 mos or so until the reticles are made. Once they come in we'll be looking at a special run and John will be able to give a time line on that.
We'll need about 10 scopes to make it work.

The reticle/scope shall be part of the "C2 Tactical" productline. I am in Virginia Beach now and was able to look at and work with the 1.5-6x C2 Tactical scope. Mine is an EREK version. The reticle works great as a rapid range finding reticle with the ability to quickly range targets with no math from 12 to 500 yards and can be "learned" by the average guy. It has always been my desire to provide the to in country guys deployed in the fight as a tool of the trade. The 1.8-10 is the next step for a longer range more detailed calcutive mission profle. I look foward to getting them to market. I must say here that US optics is the scope and company to put this together. I hope we can continue to work together to get this task accomplished. Don't get me wrong either it is not for the money. I love my 15 or so S&B's like many of you long range guys, but this is the combo to for this scope. The 1.8-10x will happen just as the 1.5-6x did. You have my word. The 1.5-6x prototypes are here and are about to be released for production. I also have 8 various varients in stock that just came in. You can call the store @ 757-426-9953

Hey Doc, I agree with Sponge's comment. It would be nice to have the .5 mil hash on the 1.8-10x. Application: picturing a 425 yd. shot on a prairie dog (target) at full 10x with some cross wind (half value-ish). At the max width that's about 6" of target.
Timing on the group buy sounds great to me -- I'm still 100% behind it.

Tag for interest in the group buy. I have a USO quote for a 1.8-10x that I didn't move forward on because of the lack of reticle selection for what I needed. Am definitely liking the C2 but would love to see the rescaled version to know if it will work for my application.

The reticles, from my understanding, are either designed for a TPAL scope or not. They are specific to the scope designs just as the reticles are designed for certain magnification ranges.

Good to hear. I believe the extended range of this particular scope will require a parallax adjustable scope, thus necessitating the use of a TPAL. A fixed 100 yard parallax/focus just won't cut it.

cesium if you go the tpal route a larue spr mount is out as of now. the only larue mount that will fit it is the larue lt111 and i don't think its on the website yet. it wasn't when i bought mine you have to call and ask. its about 245 and is very nice as with all larue mounts. you have to have more room for the tpal so keep that in mind when buying

I've taken a look at the LT111 on their site, but I was under the impression a forward offset was necessary for proper eye relief on a flat top unless you're running a continuous upper rail past the receiver (I am not).
One area of hesitation is the LT111 is machined for 34mm tubes and uses a 30mm step-down adapter. I'm not sure if the additional spacer introduces a potential risk of slippage versus direct ring-on-scope clamping just because it's an extra part in the food chain. It might be an unfounded fear.

Doc, is there a price change from a 1.8-10x44mm ERGO to the 1.8x10x37mm? Seems like the TPAL adds some complexity but the objective size drops too and I already specced the ERGo addition. I'm going to let Jeff or Becky know the correction since I do have a very newly ordered USO scope that awaits the C2 and need to make any corrective changes before its too late.
Ignore the above, noticed TPAL upgrade is $200 so it shouldn't change things since I already have the ERGO upcharge. Oh well, at least changing to TPAL means I get to buy a brand new posa-lock product!

Just to add a few things since you guys have been asking.
The 10X ERGO/fixed parallax scope uses a different reticle than the 10X TPAL scopes.
Fixed magnification and variable use the same reticle patterns.
We can make a reticle for each, but the same thing as before, the reticle tooling runs a little over $1000. So if there isn't a huge demand for each type, then we won't bother spending the money on making it. If there is someone, or several individuals that want to split the cost of the tooling, we are cool.

JBW, I've contacted Jeff and switched from ERGO to the TPAL setup so I'm good to go. Looks like TPAL is preferred overall and I gladly switched for the C2 reticle.

I am trying to gather info for computing clearances for mounting on a flat top when I get this 1.8-10x37mm TPAL
Besides the 1-pc upcoming Posa-lock, and a couple other solid 1-pc units, I was looking at the option of a base like a Badger or Larue unit with with rings like a Seekins. I need some measurements to determine the correct clearances and height.
I need:
-to know the 37mm objective's overall outer diameter for clearance of the rifle. It is my understanding that the wall thickness of the tubing is substantial for it's ruggedness.
-to know the largest outer diameter of the ocular/lowpro eyepiece housing to see if it will clear a KAC 600m BUIS underneath.
-to know how tall the TPAL turret block is. Since it protrudes below the 30mm tube a bit, I want to see if I still have clearance between the TPAL and the base/riser for mounting a cant or angle indicator.

Lucky I was at work this morning!
Obj. OD= 1.850"
OD of variable power collar= 1.860"
The bottom of the turret block protrudes 0.135" further than the 30mm diameter, or the whole turret block is 1.455".
You might need this as well; length of turret block= 2.875"
Mountable area on 30mm tube; front= 1.335", rear= 1.800".
Go get the calipers!
