Caliber Specific Muzzle Break

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I wasn't able to find an answer through searching.

I know a lot of people are running 30 cal, or even 338 cal suppressors regardless of if the caliber being shot is a lot smaller (to simplify things). Similarly I'm looking at buying into the Area 419 Hellfire mounting system, for a TBAC Ultra 9 / 30 cal, that's going to be "mostly" run on a 6mm CM.

My question is this. For when the suppressor isn't mounted up and the brake is swapped in, are most people also running caliber specific muzzle brake, or do most oversize the muzzle break caliber as well?

Thanks!

I thought I read an article or maybe it was a forum where people shot say a 6mm using a 30 cal brake and it seems that the results were pretty similar as the gases were still directed properly. I would run a caliber specific brake just so I know I get a system tuned for that caliber. No comment on the suppressor side of things though.
