Wondering what anyone is seeing as far as accuracy degrade, if any, as round count approaches the 1K mark. I have 960 on my Bartlein and my groups are opening a bit. So my accuracy load was 61.5 of H1000 and a 140gr Berger Hyb. When I began, that load was around .3- ( 5shot got) now I’m hovering around .7-1.0. Could be me, as I’m not above jacking the trigger or something, but wanted to see if anyone shooting the SAUM has had similar experiences. Used a Lyman bore scope and took a look at the throat and lands. No heat cracks to speak of, but maybe? a little wear on the lands.
Guess I could seat a few rounds out a cpl .000 and see if it makes a diff. I’ve heard that guys are getting well over 2K rnds with this caliber and not seeing and diff. What’s the consensus’s here? Am I just chasing my non shooting tail, or do I need to chase some lands?
