I'm looking for an uncontoured 44 mag barrel that runs 33-34" long.

What I'm going to end up with is 2 barrels from this blank, both need to finish out at 16.1" or slightly longer because I don't want to pay the SBR tax and waiting period.

The 2 rifles being made with it are being chambered in my family's wildcat which runs 55ksi and shoots 44mag bullets. The twist rate of 1:20 I think is the 44mag standard, it stabilized everything we put through the other two test rifles, so that's fine.

Can someone who can handle this job please send me a PM or tell me where to look? Douglas made one of the barrels before but it was the only one we've ever seen from them. It was a random clearance item from Midway.

TIA.

Shilen has 44 blanks readily available (uncontoured) but any barrel maker can do this for you....

Shilen would be acceptable, but they won't make one that long, so they want me to buy 2 barrels at a 90day waiting period for each one, and I'll be throwing out a foot from each barrel.

That'd be perfect. I'll also try PacNOr as well. Thanks.
