Actually, what causes the most problem for my friend is the 10 minute wash that's at a moderate pressure. It seems to force it's way under the adjustable objective bell.
He uses some pretty caustic stuff in his process, and if that 10 minute wash carried some of those chemicals IN when it's the step designed to get them OFF, he could severly damage a scope.
I think it could be fixed, but why take the chance. The Duracoat is a High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) process, and they have their shit together there at Lauer Custome Weaponry, the home of Duracoat.
