Central to northern IL around 55/72 interchange and then up on I39 area. Trying to match my surroundings. I also am a lifetime member of frontsight in NV.

I'm thinking this:

(if you want to be "real world"...) since everything in the pictures is grassland and fringe grassland, I would advise against any multi-cams or woodlands. stick with taller vertical grasses only. no more than 2 colors, with the base color being the most important. always grab actual fresh vegetation from the area your laying in, and use it during your spraying. and it changes with locations and seasons.

that is how its done in the real world. hope this helps.

Something along the lines of this one of mine that I painted would work well for your area.

Use some burlap spray painted to match the season with some vine kinda stuff from some place like Michael's. Works great.

That way your camo is not dedicated to a particular season or environment.

If I read your post right. Your saying I should just add grass. I should paint my rifle maybe just one color like OD green? Then Maybe I can add grasses and different colored burlap?
