I'm looking at the Larue PredatAR 7.62 rifles. I like that they are only 7.75lbs, but I am not sure if the pencil contour barrel would be too narrow to hang a suppressor off of. I know all of the other advantages between the Larue heavy and PredatAR rifles so I am really only considering weight and if the PredadtAR is not enough barrel for a suppressor.

My Gemtech is 28 oz and right now I am experiencing a .9 mil POI shift on my 5.56 rifle. On my 18 inch Noveske 7.62 heavy contoured barrel the POI shift is almost non existent.

Whereas there are some barrels that are too thin, the Larue is not one of them. Already provided with threading, the Larue is ready to go.

Your goal is to find a very light and accurate can. If you can afford it, titanium. A great 7.62 can in Ti can weigh as little as 15 oz., much lighter than the can you are using now.

Yes I know that my can is a bit on the heavy side. I ruled out an all Titanium can for use on a semi auto gun. I have mixed feelings about a titanium and inconel or steal combo can. I have seen examples of welding two different metals together where the weld fails.

Either way, for now I am pretty well committed with my current suppressor. I don't think I will be trading it up anytime soon.
