What I really mean is, is it practical. So let's say I'm looking to get a used USO scope and I find one that's almost perfect, but it is moa/moa and I want mil/mil.

I can easily imagine that a person is better off just finding the used scope (i.e. a different used scope) that is already mil/mil. But I don't know much about retro work on the options, so I'm curious how much that would cost (if it can be done).

I have a feeling it would be cost-prohibitive, but I have no real experience to draw from here. Just based on what I've heard the costs of other work is, I think you would be better off waiting for one you want to come along... or just call them up and get the ball rolling on the one that is "exactly" right for you.

It could possibly be done, but it is a gamble. We charge an hourly rate on all change overs as well as parts.

The reticle isn't too big of a deal, will run you about $400-500 to change. The knobs are a different story. These are screwed intot he main tube and bonded with red Loctite, sometimes we can get them out without any issues, but most of the time we end up destroying the threads, this then requires a new body.

By the time all of this is done you may as well have just bought a new scope.
