Can anyone suggest a good bean bag rest?

I'm looking for a rear rest, one that's easily portable, maybe with a carrying handle.

I've looked all over the place and all I can find seems more geared towards bench style shooting with a notched out shape for resting the rifle in.

I want something that is more moldable into a shape I need on the fly.

Any suggestions?

The first 3 are avialable from Triad, and SniperCJ sells the bottom one, I perfer the square flat ones from TAB\LS because they do more than just support the rear of the weapon

Put about a baseball size amount of sand in a wal mart bag and tie it off. Place this inside of two vintage army wool socks, zip tie it off and trim the excess. Mine is going on 15 years.

+1 for Tab gear bag. Works really well has handles on all three sides and is pretty inexpensive.

Another vote for the TAB. I disliked it at first, but the more I use it the more I like it. The straps on there for your hands are a great addition.

And it's only $20.

I have an skdtac bals bag that attatches to the butt of your rifle. It works great for me and i dont have to keep up with toting a bag around. here is a link

Another vote for the TAB. I can use it flat with my accushot monopad for a little more lift or on its end for use without the monopod. The Straps are great and can also be looped on your bipod for support. Its only 20 bucks too.

I know every one says TAB. Looks like a great bag..
I have used a green wool sock filled with airsoft pellets. Works great and cheap, thats just how i like it. good luck on your search

I used to make the bags but when Stu Redman Tactical came out with his I quit making them and started using his. Best bag I have used.

when did guys start buying them? I'm used to a stretchy dress sock filled with airsoft BB's. Used corn for a while but mice like to eat that so went to Plastic Airsoft bb's, will last forever. If your wanting more of a flat "rest" as opposed to a squeeze bag, just add more BB's

cost is at 10 bucks for components

I have recently been using a TAB rear bag.

It is such a simple little thing and yet it is far more usefull than my other two rear bags.

I think unless you have a special shape butt stock and matching protektor/edgewood rear bag, and intend on using it on benches only, then the TAB is the way to go.

to be honest i bought mine from a little old lady who sews stuff on ebay...its marpat and has cherry pits in it so it doesnt hold water, has done me well for 6 dollars
