Suppressors Can for 6.5 Grendel

Disclaimer: I know very little to nothing about sound suppressors so please bear with me if anything monumentally stupid flies out.

For the very little I understand, I can use either a can made for a .308/7.62 (which may be the best bet because I too have a .308) or a 6.8. There doesn't seem to be one made specifically for 6.5 (short of having one custom made).

Ideally, I'd like to minimize sound as much as possible which leads me to think that a 6.8 can would be my best bet, but I haven't found one other than surefire which uses a quick connect flash suppressor for attachment, and I believe those are made specifically for 6.8 and that they wouldn't work for a 6.5.

Of course if I were to get a .308 can I could also use it for my .308 and save some serious cheese, but from what I gather, it would greatly reduce the suppression efficiency so I would be amenable to buying twice.

Any insight?

the 308 has more volume, so suppression will be at least on par with the 6.8 can. get the 308 and enjoy it on 2 guns.

This Jet Can in .277 was made for my 6.8 SPC because it was the largest caliber I wanted to use it on. It is shown here on my 6.5 Grendel and I also use it on my 6.5/284 bolt gun and my 6MM WOA AR and my 260 AR10. Just had GAP thread whatever barrel I wanted to use it on. Less effective on the smaller calibers but easier on the pocketbook.

I use a my 308 can on everything down to 243 and some believe te 243 actually is the quietest through that can. If I were in your shoes, I would buy the SAS Arbitor after hearing it on a couple occasions. Inexpensive and very light. Sound suppression is at the same level as cans 2.5 times as expensive. Get their muzzle brake as well and you will no doubt have a can that will last a lifetime as the brake will act as an additional blast baffle.
