I have Stiller TAC30 with their smallish round tactical knob and rearward swept bolt handle.

When my trigger finger is touching the trigger with the pad of the last joint, and I extend my first and second joints to make a 90 degree angle to my hand, the knuckle of my index finger hits the bottom of the bolt knob. I find it annoying.

This this happening to me on two different stocks, a Manners T3 and an AICS.

I haven't talked to Jerry yet, but I'm curious if anyone knows if it is possible to get a straight bolt handle put on my bolt body? Will this fix my problem? Am I missing something?

    Thanks

I'll talk to him, but please don't think that I'm suggesting it is even Jerry's problem. Long story short, his action design features a swept-back bolt handle, and I'm discovering I don't like it.

    Do I have options?

what is funny is i am 99% sure they start out with straight ptg handles and bend them. i'd talk to stiller and see if they can swap it out for you since they would most likely have a fixture to ensure it's in the proper location.

Maybe the smaller hunting knob would work. Other then that there is not much that can be done with the current setup. I could put a staight handle on it and have it recoated black or armoloy. That would cost about $50 to do though and take a month or so depending on when the bolts go to the coater.

Thats the exact reason I only built one rifle on a Lawton action. They sent a swept back handle and everytime you pulled the trigger you lost some skin. It required me to cut three slots in the forward edge of the handle bend it forward and weld the slots closed.

Jerry don't tell me your using swept back handles now?
