Can McMillan add a LOP spacer system to a stock?

For those A5 gurus out there...

Can McMillan add the length of pull spacer system to a stock that doesn't currently have it?

Also, is there a particular barrel contour for A5's for Remington short action rifles, specifically a 700P that needs to be mentioned when getting a MCM A5 Rem. SA stock?

Yes Mcmillan can add a spacer system to an existing stock. I'm not sure the current cost but it was under $150.00. If you are ordering a new stock just tell them that your barreled action is a 700P and they will take care of it.

I might have the opportunity to pick up a MCM A5 from a member here in a trade towards my .50BMG upper and he says it should fit. It just doesn't have a LOP adjustment / cheekpiece which I may want adding a 56mm NF in a few months...

I'm 5'10" if that gives you any idea if I might need the LOP spacers or not.

The need for spacers will depend on body type and wing span. I am 5'6 and the standard 13.5 LOP is a touch too long for me. See if the seller still has the build tag, if the tag shows something like REM SA RH REM VAR B/C you are good.

Mcmillan cannot add an adjustable cheek piece to an existing stock. An Eagle stock pack and dense foam is one option.

Your 700P action will drop right in with the factory floor plate. You can shoot it just as it is, I did with mine for awhile, but I would recommend having it bedded.

By the way that is a good looking stock with nice no frill options. Just right for a working gun.

I just wont be able to afford to put a lower and optic to my .50BMG so it'll either collect dust or get sold.

The seller says that my factory floorplate and trigger guard will NOT work and this comes with a Williams lower metal (not sure the correct term) that will fit the 700P. He specifically said the 700P's factory lower metal will not fit this stock.

Ok, from what you posted it indicates BDL floor plate. If the seller upgraded to a Williams, that is a good thing over the factory pot metal crap. I would guess that stock combo would cost $750 + or - from Mcmillan.

We can install a saddle cheek piece and spacer system on that stock for $232.00 plus return shipping.
