AFAIK its good to go. Guy seems legit, its from another forum with high feedback over 50. still 2000 is high? He said he is throwing in some F gold match ammo.

Re: Can someone look over these specs, potential buy..

Let's look at the numbers:
PSS - new $979 so take of %25 for used
$733 - had some work done so add the 25% back, Shilen and Receiver trued
$979
$500 - AICS 1.5 Used
$300 - Falcon used
$150 - Bases and Bi Pod
$75 - Drag Bag
$2004 - Total

I was being pretty conservative in my numbers as I have not seen the rifle nor the components but I think 2K is a pretty decent deal.

Sounds to me that the seller is asking for what they paid for the equip originally (new) . Thing is its not new and it can not be sold as new, regardless of the shape. I think the price is a bit high. JMO

Im real new to all of this, so help me out.

Stock? what do you mean by this?
Bottom metal? Stock trigger, I do know that. And it is krylon-ed and duracoated but Im going to remove that.

Re: Can someone look over these specs, potential buy..

We are asking if it is in the original stock? If any work has been done to the trigger? Is it a stock trigger? Bottom metal- the housing around the trigger and and magazine has that been changed out? These are all things that affect price and parts you may want to change latter if not? They would affect price.
The duracoat unless it is in bad shape you may want to keep that as it is considered a great aftermarket coating.

Ohok, well it does have an AICS 1.5 stock with both 5 and 10 round mags.

I think it has had trigger work, but he said it has a little play when not cocked.

Here is a picture.

That's an OK deal if the seller can verify the work was done by a competent gunsmith. Did he offer any examples of how it shoots? Test targets usually show the BEST groups the rifle has shot.

Re: Can someone look over these specs, potential buy..

he said it can hold 2/3-3/4 moa on his good day The barrel was engraved by Scarpino out of TN, he is the one that installed the Shillen barrel and trued the action.

Re: Can someone look over these specs, potential buy..

Your definitely on the right track! Imho anyone of these rifles will out shoot you. The thing is to get them at the right price.
Unfortunately when people make upgrades they think their retail cost translates in the sale? And that is just not so.
You have the right parts list going on. Just see if you can get the price a bit lower or think about buying new and putting a few upgrades on your self? I think your budget allows for it? That way you know what you have and it will out shoot you for some time.
I did all the basics to a R700 sps223 and I'm still trying to keep up with it!

Re: Can someone look over these specs, potential buy..

Well then just ask yourself, How bad do I want it? It's worth it if you love it! You have to honest with yourself? You have the making's of a great rifle!
