Suppressors can you help me?

i tried my new suppressor on an x bolt 6.5 creedmoor with 130 & 140gr subs, 1050 fps, low report noise but a zipping noise, not a supersonic crack but a fairly loud noise

then same suppressor on AR10 308, 170 & 200gr subs, this was MUCH quieter than the creedmoor, especially the 170 gr round noses from Beck, its report was close to a 22lr sub and it did not have the zipping noise like the creedmoor round.

My question is 'do heavier sub bullets travel quieter than lighter bullets traveling at the same 1050 fps??'

Or any other ideas why the 308 is no much quieter than the creedmoor?

Are they accurate? Have you checked stability?

they are very accurate, holes looked good at 60 yards, ammo scored well using stability software, creedmoor had an unusual zipping type noise I have never head

i went 150 yards away to listen when my pal shot to see what a neighbor might hear, low report not sounding like a shot but the zipping noise was audible, seemed to echo too

Try a RN bullet shape and see if that’s quieter

that is what I had in my Beck 308, looks a bit like a small 30-30 bullet, it was really quiet, have not found RN creedmoor in stock

thanks, i need ammo since I do not reload, I did see some but it was out of stock
