Is it possible to increase the power of a scope to provide more flexibility? I have a Leatherwood CMR 1-4x20, which I love, but every now and then I'd like to get a little closer to a target, 4-16, etc. Is there a way to increase the power from the objective end as the eyepiece magnifiers result in one huge reticle. In a perfect scenario, a flip-magnifier like what goes in front of an holographic sight would be great.

Any ideas?

Re: Can you increase the power of a scope?

I don't know if anyone makes them any more, but there used to be a company that made "Boosters" for the old 7/8" Weaver scopes. I can't remember now whether the scope had to be modded to use them or not. Anyway they came in several different powers (fixed by the way) 6X, 8X, 10X, 12X. Not much help I know, but at least it's possible.
