And I just retired the first of this month. Retired from my full time job & my weekend job too.

I'm 22 months from retirement. Been exploring my options and after watching where the US is going and my "plan B" is becoming my plan A.

No idea where this is going. The present system is failing and all the alternatives seem to lead to the dissolution of The United States, The end of Capitalism, an Oligarchy owned and operated Government, and a death spiral for US as we have known it. Our Government Official's and "Representation" are owned and operated by billionaires and the system has been hacked and owned by people who don't care if we all starve or die for lack of affordable health care. We are fucked.

Good luck. It's everyone for themselves now.

Have a co-worker who's wife left him at the five year vesting retirement mark, had been squirreling away the mortgage money and intercepting the late notices for close to a year in preparation of running off with another dude. Little did she realize spouses don't vest until ten years. Karma, bitch...

I'm a firm believer of never marrying anyone who earns less than 80% of your pay, regardless of hotness. Making more than you is always a plus, but then it's on you to keep up with her pay because that shit goes both ways.

I'd be dead without the standard of care afforded to me through the stiff monthly premiums and co-pays that we have the means to cover. Individual charity is just that. Redistribution of wealth by the government in order to buy the loyalty of the poor is institutionalized theft.

I guess not. I guess it'll just roll on as is is now until enough folks can't afford it and they tear it all down and we start over. It's time soon enough for that I guess. The System as it stands is unsustainable, The Government no longer responsive to The People, and every filthy rich jackass politician out there has a fabulous plan to make more money at the expense of working folks....we are being fleeced shitless.

Something is gonna break catastrophically soon. We'll have our answer soon I feel.
