Photos CarbonFiber SR556 with CarbonFiber ACOG

Here are some pics of a carbon fiber Ruger SR556 with a custom carbon fiber TA31 ACOG up top. This one belongs to TucsonDave who was nice enough to sent it out to me so I could play with it a while. Hope you like the changes TD. I think it turned out pretty darn nice.

Just curious and only asking a question. Is that carbon fiber paint/tape or ? You said it was a carbon fiber Acog. Are you saying that the Acog or parts were remade using carbon fiber? If it was remade using carbon fiber.......Thats a mighty fine job remaking the factory logos....
It look pretty.......I have always loved carbon fiber stuff.

wellllll, it is DuraCoat and I painted the whole thing to look like carbon fiber for TucsonDave who also likes the carbon fiber look

weighs the same as it did when I sent it to ARP for paint. Ok,a little heavier.

Dude....If that was truly a carbon fiber rifle it would brobably weigh about 3 pounds or less. You have to have somw metal parts that take the abuse like barrel liner, bolt head,chamber, etc,etc. Would love to see someone try to make one out of carbon fiber and only use like scandium/ titanium, or CROMO only where you had to ..That would be bad ass..... Anybody have more money than they know what to do with????????
