I'm not sure if this is the right spot, I'm guessing not (so admins feel free to move) but I didn't know where else to put it. I was just wondering what some of you guys do for a living with you buying multiple AI rifles, putting US optics on .22s and just other stuff that. If you would post your job or how much you make a year [yea its a personal question, but you don't have to answer]. Just curious

Thanks

Re: Careers

LE and trim work on the side. "Had" a lot of guns/gear until I got married and started having kids. Now I'm down to the bare bones stuff.

It was worth a shot. I got a few good ones, and whats wrong with some funny answers. I also now have more support to my "I'll never have kids" mindset.

"you really cant ask a question like that on this board and expect to get straight answer......"

Yeah, he's right. I've learned that the hard way in the last 24 hours on another topic...

Re: Careers

Single, CHILDLESS project manager for an engineering firm. I think the single and childless play a bigger factor than the other. I drive a "beater" truck and own a small house. I have nice bikes and nice guns, that's it.

Re: Careers

Here's a few reasons:

1. Priorities
2. Disposable Income
3. Being 40+ years old

All 3 lead to being able to spend a lot of guns

Re: Careers

LOL LOL some of these post crack me up. But I do share alot of common ground. Single/no kids equals money spent all on me and MY toys.

Re: Careers

I've got a wife that brings in the bacon, Medical Discharge from the Army gets me a little dough every month, 2 little boys that take up 99 percent of my time. So I don't get to shoot or spend as much as I used to, but I'm satisfied with it. As for the lucky fucker working at Vivid way to go man.

I come home everynight and try to motivate my wife to become richer through various methods.

I'm pretty sure this is going to backfire in the longrun, but hopefully she gets far enough along that I can get a few rifles out of the deal before she leaves with some rich handsome James Bond type.

Also, nokids.

Re: Careers

I do decently fortunate enough to have a well paying job in this economy, girlfriend pulls her weight... Most importantly, I invest my $ wisely and buy guns and other toys with my profits and dividends.

Oh, and no kids

Re: Careers

I take specs from customers and give them to the engineers.

Well, look, I already told you. I deal with the goddamn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills! I am good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?!

Awesome! My first gig out of school was as a process engineer for KBR in H-town. We had an Indian guy who was very smart, but not really suited to design engineering. He would take the specs from the client and give them to the vendor. Then he would take the design from the vendor and hand it back to the client.

It was a sweet system he had. At the time, I actually didn't have the detail orientation to do what he did. He at least checked over the work to see if it was all there before handing it over the the client. I would have been too busy tripping over myself to get it to the client or sleeping in my cube to actually review someone else's work.

Re: Careers

Married, no kids, good sized dual income, and only a truck to pay on that will be paid for this year. Most of the money goes into our house building fund but we both have our own accounts that we are free to do whatever with. Works out well.

Re: Careers

I listen to my neighbors though the wall of our apartment building, this bitch named Ann really screwed one of them over good, him and I now do construction together, Fuckin A!
