Carry gun mnp vs vp9??

I have a few HK's but they are more for investment/profit later on. I don't see paying the higher costs for their CCW handguns vs other choices like the S&W or Glock.

The Shield Plus is/would be my choice. They did a great job in it with the flat faced trigger.

I’ve had a few m&ps and I really like my 2.0 compact (no thumb safety). they really improved a lot imo with this gen.

I have a quite a bit of experience with the VP9sk and an M&P9 2.0c.

They are both solid pistols but I would give the edge to HK. They shoot a little smoother, have a nicer trigger, and they can take the larger mags from the full size VP9 (17 rds). Nobody makes a better magazine than HK.

The M&P has a little more aftermarket support and I really like the size.

I prefer HK to S&W M&P, but that said, I think you should edit your OP to specify which specific models of the VP series and M&P line, because it might help with the replies.

Some people conceal carry nearly full sized pistols, and others want the new micro (Sig p365), or sub compact (Glock 43x, Shield, p365xl) models.

I bought my wife a M&P shield compact 9mm to carry.
I didnt expect much of it but it has surprised me, the accuracy particularly.
A good portion of my hand hangs off the bottom of the grip but can still shoot it fairly well and it has digested everything from Winchester 115fmj white box to what i keep it loaded with the Sig 124gr+p and has never failed to eject, feed or jammed.
I intentially tried to see if it would malfunction with the Sig ammo by letting the pistol roll back during recoil with a soft grip it didnt.
I have seen it happen several times with friends of my wifes that wanted a pistol and i recommended a compact revolver but they had to have a semi auto.
One in particular didnt have the hand strength to clear the jam and rechamber a new round.
