For those that have one of these, has anyone figured out a case to transport these safety if left assembled?

I really don’t like the idea of assembling/disassembling it every time I need to use it and right now, I’m just placing it on the rear seat of my truck. There has got to be something out there, even a case thats purpose is something else but can be used to safely transport the complete assembly. Thanks for any help.

Since we’re talking about these, does it work on any chassis as long as you’ve got an Arca spigot?

Theoretically. The limitation is the distance from your rail to end of the barrel, and the distance from the barrel to the bottom of the rail. However, the MPA system is adjustable so it should work on any chassis with an Arca rail that is parallel to the barrel.

For the record, I have a JAE chassis on the way that I plan to use one on.

There will be a few exceptions. Here is a link to a video of a rifle where I don’t think it would work. The angle of the forend is too steep and I doubt you could get the bayonet to sit correctly. The rail would need to be parallel to the barrel.

A flute or reed or piccolo case ebay, music store, garage sale. Or just use a single rifle case.Pelican SKB all make speciality cases your budget is your only limitation.Good luck.

Expandable Carrying Case for Artwork/Blueprints

*EDIT - Checked on my setup when I got home, and I would need a full 3.5" inside diameter, and it actually looks like most of these tubes have an ID of around 3" which would be to small for me.

I found one at Michaels, so I am going to the store tomorrow and check it out:

I also found this soft case which will be more than big enough

I will report back.

Nice. Thanks and let us know how it goes. You thinking about some foam or something to keep it from rattling around?

I picked up one of the "Protective Tubes", and as suspected the internal measurement was only about 3".

I actually have a MK Machining Mount on mine https://mkmachining.com/product/magnetomount/ and the way that it is setup requires 3.5" of clearance.

I am not sure what type of clearance you need with the MPA mount, and if 3" would be enough?

I also picked up a soft case https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/695598/Office-Depot-Brand-Easel-Bag-Black/

This is the perfect width & depth, but it is really overkill on length at 48". However, I actually put my Magnetospeed Speed case in first which takes up about half of it, and I put the Bayo & Adapter Mount in the other half, and it is perfect. I put some pieces of foam core board in it to make it rigid. I also made a "foam taco" to put around the Bayo to protect it.

It is a good setup to keep it all together and make it easy to carry. It is going to protect the contents to some degree. I have less than $15 in it, so not to bad.

I am going to keep looking for a bigger tube, as it would be much protective.

I will keep providing updates as I can.
