I am loading .223 using TAC. I have been using Wolf brass that I bought 10 ish years ago and it has worked well. I am starting to run out of it and as a replacement I purchased 2000 rounds of Starline. The Wolf brass was holding 29.7 Gr. of water and the Starline comes in at 28.4. Will I still be able to reach the same velocities with the lower capacity brass? How much should I reduce my load to start?

Some better advice could be given if you shared your bullet and seating details for the previous recipe.

For example, if your load with Wolf brass was near capacity or still had a little space, then you should still be able to get back to where you were before even with the lower capacity brass. The lower case volume will tend to raise the pressure all other things being equal. So it is possible but without more detail can't say for sure.

And in this situation it is always smart to back off a little and work back up. When you fire the new brass, take note of the case capacity before and after. Good Luck and in for the range reports.
