I am planning my next Savage build. I currently am running a .260 with a 26" Criterion barrel and am wondering if the Shilen select match is worth the extra money. Who owns or has owned both and can give pro/cons of each or are they apple to apples. This will be a competitve rifle for BR and I want all the edge I can get. As far as my 260 CBI is concerned it shoots less than 1/2 MOA when I do my part.

260AI Criterion holds consistent 3s as well and will dip lower. It has cleaned 600 yard Fclass targets. They also arrive much quicker and are significantly cheaper. But if you are going the BR route, why not get a Kreiger and have it shouldered to the action face after a full blueprint. That would be the proper way for a dedicated BR rifle.
