CCI ammo for s&w mp-15-22?

My kid sent me a link to some CCI ammo specifically made for the S&W Mp-15-22. Anyone tried this? Does it work or just sales hype?

If you go to the CCI website it is called "AR Tactical", 40 grain CPRN, 1200 fps muzzle vel.

I have not tried this ammo but the reviews on AR15.com and the S&W forum are not so good. As the owner of two 15-22s I have been satisfied with the Federal and Winchester bulk ammo. No hurry to try this since it's more expensive.

Edited to add - I have used CCI mini mags for years and really like the CCI brand in general. This is the first time I have ever heard bad things about the CCI brand.

The CCI AR ammo is pretty much the same as CCI Mini Mag ammo.
Just bulk packaged.

ive been using the winchester m-22 ammo it has a blk/copper coating along with being round nose for reduced fouling and enhanced funtioning. i have already ran about 1500 through my sw mp 15-22 with only 3 hangups. my 15-22 also ran minimags well but they are a bit pricey and i only buy the mini mags because my sig mosquito will only run right with the cci minimags
