Getting ready to load for my new POF 308. Just got it from Scott here on the site. Planning to use cci primers for my load. Any issue with slam fire using cci primers? Just want to be safe that's all. I load mostly for my bolt guns, but it's the first time for a gas gun. Thanks for your help.

I have never had a slam fire out of my AR15's or LR308, with regular CCI, Federal, Remington or Winchester primers. Not saying it cannot happen, but I have never seen it/worried about it and I have fired 1000's of rounds through the platform. They do get a nice dent in them though before firing-I can see it everytime I take a live round out of the chamber.
Surely someone has had it happen, but no one I know.

I run normal CCI LR primers, but I do uniform the primer pocket a bit, which makes it deeper.
Frequently recommended for Garand and M14, but not really needed as long as primer pockets are cleaned after EVERY reload to prevent them from seating high. The uniformer is the quickest way to clean the pockets, so cheap insurance.
