Gunsmithing CDI Metal for Remington 5R 300 WM

Can I (not a gunsmith) install the CDI or other AI mag system bottom metal in my new 5R 300 WM? What would be the trick?

It has a stock HS stock on it.

Yeah but if you have never done it before I would suggest you get some help.

you can do it with a dremel, but it won't look professional. There are several gunsmiths that will do the job with proper tools for somewhere in the $65 range... If you don't have a mill, the job is best left for a pro, especially for the money

I had two done by cdi and both of them are A+ jobs

I agree with Mexican Match. Have Jeff at CDI do it. The price is very reasonable ($60) and its a pain to do it with an aluminum block in there.
