Rifle Scopes Center Dot Users

Looking for some feedback on how guys like these for competitions. What do you like, make the switch and did/ didn't like it, etc.
I got a chance to shoot with a SKMR 3 this past weekend for just a handful of rounds and I noticed the center dot can be hard to pick up on shot-up steel. Again, very limited exposure, so looking for feedback from guys who have had them for a while.

Well I like them and have shot a bunch of them from the huge dot on the March reticles, to the tiny dot on the SKMR, and most recently my favorite is the MR4. I have to agree with you that the dot on the SKMR is tiny and is hard to pick up in some situations; however, even when the center would get lost the rest of the reticle helped me figure out where center was pretty easily so I consider the dot to be more of a fine tune while the rest of the reticle is adequate. Here was a shot looking at 1100yds and you can see that outside of the red background it would have been very hard to pick up the dot, but the rest of the reticle told me where center was. However, I am not a competition shooter, I just do this for fun and sport so I'm sure there are others who will give you their thoughts, that being said, the Kahles K624i is one of the most popular scopes on the PRS circuit right now and I'd imagine a large majority of those are with some version of the SKMR reticle so that's got to say something.

I have a SKMR 3 624i as well as a Mil c ATACR. Both center dots appear the same size. I don’t recall exact subtentions.
I have never had a problem picking them up with the rest of the reticle pointing to them.

i like them for shooting paper but for steel i hardly ever use it, because i dont dial wind and there's almost always wind where i shoot...mr4 and ebr7b with the .2 hashes get used far more often

It could be the diopter wasn't set exactly for your eyes.

The center dot in the H59 reticle seems about perfect to me at .05 mil.

The SKMR reticles have a .036 mil center dot

I used to use floating dots, but typically they come on fine crosshairs, which tend to disappear in either desert or grass. I've since moved away from those and am cognizant of line/dot thickness when choosing rets.
