I want to try some of the new Cerakote Elite but the Jungle green is just not working for me.

Any of you pros provide some advise on mixing colors to achieve something similar to the H series Mil Spec OD or Magpul OD?

Thinking I should mix a small amount of Elite Earth with the Elite Jungle, then darken with the Elite Midnight?

**Would also love to hear from any of y'all that have used the new Elite enough to say if there is a difference or is it just hype. Really wanting to know specifically if it's that much thinner and slicker then the H series.

I have Elite Jungle, Smoke, Midnight and Earth. Jungle just doesn't do it for me either. I was going to paint a barrel Jungle anyway but may just mix it based on the responses here. If no responses, I may just mix in a little see what happens. If I do I'll post pics.

I painted a barrel with Midnight and it's darned slick. I've painted an action with Smoke and a barreled action with Earth. They all appear darned slick. But, I did scratch the Earth action with a file (accidentally) easier than I thought it should have been. I can't really say if it goes on thinner. I do like the colors, though, with the exception of Jungle. It's a good color but just doesn't have the look I'm after.

Well I just ordered some and the mixing will commence this weekend. I'll tray to take a few pics of it on some paper or something to get an idea of how it turns out.

Can anybody reference a way to mix colors period to achieve a OD green? Should I mix the colors a certain way or should I use one color before the other.
