I am getting ready to have my rifle done and was wondering if I should have the scope done as well. What are everyone's thoughts on getting Cerakote on their scopes? Does it impact resale value of the scope?

I would say it depends on the buyer. Just mounting a scope puts off many buyers. Do what YOU want, and forget the resale value. The old man used to put those crazy clear plastic covers on the car seats, and even as a kid I wondered who he was keeping the seats clean for?

Well considering it probably a Schmidt 5-25
that you are cerkoting you'll be fine. Might lose a little but not enough to worry about it.

All good advice. I was leaning towards putting the cerakote on it, so I think I will go ahead and have it done. Might as well match the rifle right

Just spray with Krylon. If you want to sell it later. Then remove the paint. Just don't paint where the rings mount. Here is a pictures of 2 scopes I did
