Cerakoted my armalite finally

Armalite .223 20 in. barrel, 8 twist magpul prs, ergo grip, troy low pro gas block, Im waiting on my jp single stage trigger and ss 3-15 to show up. the cerakote was done by me, it is O.D. green

Tell me your prep process for the cerakote. Also, what hand guard and nut is this?

Soak all the parts in acetone for 30min, then gas out in oven at 300deg. for 1 hour. then sandblast and then spray, after that bake at 250ish for 2 hours. It is the factory armalite handguard and nut.

I am wanting to try cerakote, but dont sandblast. I was hoping some one had tried it using sandpaper to scuff up the material. Ah well.
