So I was on the phone a couple days ago with Warner Tool going over my .300WM build (A-5 Stock, Bartlien 26" #7 bbl, Badger Bottom metal, etc) and I couldnt decide on a trigger.

I had forget all about the cg triggers untill he mentioned it after I said "what would you prefer?" . I had mentioned some aftermarket triggers or even "tuning" my stock trigger.

I went with the Cg trigger at the end of the conversation for my build.

I have done alot of research on these triggers and they seem and look top of the line but never had the luck to actually pull one of these triggers.

Any input on these triggers?
First hand experience?

Thanks

Re: CG Triggers - decided

You will not be disappointed. As is life; sometimes you get what you pay for and this is one of those times. I had one back in the day and it was a pleasure. I have yet to hear a single bad thing about them. You will like the 1-3.5 lb adjustment and I was particularly fond of the straight trigger.

Don't think twice about it, you have purchased a top notch trigger.

The ONLY bad thing about those is the trigger shoe thread can be damaged quite easy. I got my trigger and the screw pulled out the thread in the aluminium shoe, so I had to make my own stainless steel socket. Only after this modification I was able to tighten the shoe so it would not move on pulling the trigger.

Re: CG Triggers - decided

I have 3 CG triggers: two fixed shoe/tactical and one match trigger with adjustable shoe and no safety. The only problem I had with the triggers is they did not work well with Surgeon actions. That was a Surgeon problem. Sold the Surgeon's, kept the CG and very happy with that choice. If you like two-stage triggers, you can find nothing better.

PS. Tom Myers is a no-compromise guy and maintains very high manufacturing standards.

Get the fixed shoe/tactical model and this problem goes away. Adjustable shoes are for the match folks.
