Is there a specific reamer for the .243 cartridge that's best for shooting the 115 DTAC round?

For those guys shooting that round, how far back from the rifling do you seat the bullet, or do you kiss it?

My smith has suggested sending an inert round over to PTG and let them make a custom reamer but that is 4-6 weeks at best and I've got a match the begining of next month I'd like to make and I'd rather shoot it with the 243 than my 308 barrel.

The team Surgeon rifles were running .000" free bore and 115's with very good success. Most will run approx .145" FB for the 115's with good success as well. Patric Morris of Team Surgeon made a dummy round and had a reamer ground for a 243 I built him prior to team Surgeon. That reamer has .060" free bore with the base of the bearing surface at the base of the neck. The neck measured .275" and the rifle shot like a freek. I typically run .104" FB and a .275" nk for my 243's. That reamer will let you run 105/108/115 with ease and mag feed from an AI magazine @ 2.870"

My bad, I thought some of you were still running 115's. Still hammers no doubt.

It's spelled with an "E" at the end. The guy at the chicken shack spells it minus the "E"

When I finally decided to do my 243 I called Dave and told him what my set up would be. I wanted to use 115 DTACs loaded to max mag length for AICS mags. He suggested a copy of George Gardner's 243 Win Tac Match reamer. It has worked perfectly so far. I think it will be a push to get the reamer ordered, delivered and a barrel chambered (with load work up) in your short time frame.

I was thinking that myself. I've got a safe load I'm sure I could start with that will still do better than my 308 regardless.
