Gunsmithing changing caliber ?

I have a tikka t3 tactical in .308

can it be changed to a 7mm saum?

Requires opening up the bolt face and new extractor installed, mags will be differnt as well.

Doable, but by the time you alter the T3 and put on a new barrel; you would probably be money ahead to just sell the .308 and get a 7MM SAUM.

You might sell that and use the funds to buy a basic T3 in a WSM caliber (used of course), then piece by piece get it how you want it.

I think i will keep the .308 and do as you stated and buy a 7mm saum
