Yep - you can't paint over Cerakote once it's cured...

Not completely true in the entire sense of what you said. Just duracoat it if all you're wanting to do is change the color. You don't have to blast it for that. Just degrease really well, mask off the areas you don't want to paint, and git 'er done. Moving parts like a bolt body are a different story.

Ive never taped off an area to do different colors, but I dont see why it would be hard. Ive used blue painters tape tape off areas like receiver threads and never had a problem. Hi temp tape from Shercon is what I would use.
