I bought a Remington 5R and find the rear stock is too short for me. Is there a way to measure this.

Measure from the trigger shoe to the end of the butt pad. You can purchase a thicker recoil pad and grind it to shape, or remove the butt pad and machine spacers to add LOP, I use delrin or ABS, delrin is much lighter. I fabricated spacers for the AI and AICS for a while using delrin and a high precision router or mill, here is a pic.
