I have two NFA items registered to my LLC, and I may need to relocate to another state for work. The NFA items are also legal in my new state. Can anyone tell me how to go about moving to a new state when my LLC is registered in my current state. Do I need to set up my LLC in my new state with the same name, or is my LLC also recognized in other states? In hindsight, I think a trust may have been easier.

tag. interesting. might want to ask the guys on silencertalk.com if it doesn't sound super simple best get a lawyer's advice. Like that gun trust lawyer guy.

Obviously talk to an attorney, but you'll probably end up getting a foreign registration in your new state so your old LLC (which still has to be maintained) can do business in your new state.

What are your old and new states?

I'll be going from New Mexico to Arkansas. I'm assuming that an attorney specializing in small business would probably be the best person to consult; can anyone suggest better route to take?

I was also thinking that transferring the two NFA items from my LLC to a trust may be another option since I only have two at the moment. I know I would have to pay two more transfer fees; but, depending on how complicated this is it may be cheaper than some lawyer fees.
