Channel opening

I opened the channel on my stock. Sell I got cattywampus on one side and opened it up at an angle. Looks almost like I had a splinter come out. Being the perfectionist that I am I wanted to fix my screw up. I think I could use some devcon or the board repair I used to repair the butt. Can I just wrap the barrel in several layers of tape to get the desired channel size and just bed it?
I had thought about changing the stock to a chassis or something else, but I just like the Police/24 style Remington, they just look nice to me.
TL/DR I'm and idiot and want to fix my idiot mark.

For being a self described "perfectionist", you sure jacked that sucker up.
Just giving you a hard time. I cant help you fix the issue other than widening the channel to straighten it out.

If its a fiberglass base, I would use bondo. Epoxy SUCKS to sand.

Its an H&S PSS stock, I assume its fiberglass throughout

I mark the stock with a sharpie and tape to keep it going on course.
