Looking at building a 10" 300 BLK Running a Surfire SOCOM Brake and Suppressor, Maxim Defense PDW Stock.

Before I start down this path, I need to know if it's possible to chase accurate loads with Barnes 110GR TAC-TX around 2300 FPS out of a 10" Barrel? If so what powders are people having success with? I need this velocity range for a 125 yard zero so that the ballistic trajectory will match up with the Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35mm Dual Illuminated 300 BLK Reticle, with shots only being 0.6" high at 100 yards point of aim.

Have a eotech 300 blk optic with dual dots.
Just like all bdc reticle optics it is a joke.

Adjusting ammo to match optic?

Life is short.

At some point you would not burn all the powder I would think.

I have noticed this with my sbr but no crono to back it up just filthy chambers with a low round count.

If you want blown primers, this is how you get blown primers. Never have been able to get over 1900, much less 2300 out of a 10.5 in barrel.

Seen a video of a guy getting 2200 out of a 8.5" barrel with no signs of pressure using W296. With an SD of 5.1.

Should be possible to make 2300 with 10.5" barrel not using a compressed load.

Wow that's a good load. I have tons of 1680 and CFE BLK would hate to let it go to waste. Is 296 similar/same to H110? I may have to try it. Thanks for the link, I'll watch it outside of work.
