I had been looking to buy an after market cheek riser, and I couldn't justify the $60-$100 to buy one!! All you need is $10, A drill, a dremel tool, and about 2-3 hours.
I went to lowes and bought a 16 gage sheet of steel. 6.5"x 18" $5!

I then made a blue print out of normal printer paper just to get the shape down.

I thought about cutting a larger hole so I could adjust it, but since I am happy with the scope I already have, I just drilled single holes.

I made the design that fit my stock. I also made the bolt holes exactly in the same position on each side.
Then I cut as much of the metal off as I could with my tin snips. But the majority of the cuts were made with my dremel tool.

Once you get it cut, hammer it flat and take off all the burrs with the dremel or file. You don't want an edge cutting your cheek when your shooting!!
then you can spend what ever kind of money you want on the best looking nuts and bolts but I just went with a $4 set from Lowes.

I am going to paint it or do some kind of custom design to the steel.
Thanks for looking and good luck with a fun and easy project.
