Last two NFA items were cashed in 2 or 3. Should I make some calls or wait a little while longer?

NFA Branch is now doing electronic check cashing. It won't post the same as a normal check would in your online or banking statements.

I would think his statement would have shown the check cashed at six weeks, electronically or otherwise. Sounds to me like it's time for a friendly phone call. Check cashing by the NFA folks usually only takes a few days in my experience.

I have had my last three checks post within a day or two of the NFA Branch receiving my form 4s. I would make a call if I were you, may have gotten lost. Did you put delivery confirmation on the envelope?

I almost guarantee that his check was cashed. It's likely that he wasn't looking for an electronic funds transfer. I see this question a lot lately on the different boards and it's always the same.
Threw me off at first. I just use USPS money orders now.

Found it. It was converted to electronic funds. Usually my bank still has the check number it originated from on my statement. This case they didn't.

Yes the gov dont wait long to take the cash. Mine have always been fast and this year all have been electronic. PGG

as a side note it is my understanding the they are very short on examiners...I heard down to just 3. Several are in training but the process takes 1 year before they can sign off on a transfer.
