That wouldn't be a bad thing, the Norinco's have a forged receiver and are a great platform for a build. Not worth what the OP paid for his, but it's not a bad weapon anyway.

That was an amazing deal you got at Cabelas and a great group. I love M1A's as well so welcome to the Hide. Here's a pic of what my Fulton Armory shoots:

Those sure are some fine groups posted. They are a blast to shoot and wish i had not got rid of the 1 i had. I bought 1 several years back with the adjustable cheak piece and ordered it with the Krieger barrel. I had the thing for about 2 years and never shot it. When Obama got in office the gun stores here were selling everything like crazy until things started to dry up and things were hard to get. I ended up selling mine and made a couple hundred dollars and had a rifle built with the money. They have gone up in price since i had bought mine and really regret what i did. You got 1 hell of a lucky deal on that, congrats.
