I am looking for some ideas for a new cheek piece. I currently have the eagle stock pack and feel it pushes my head too far away from the center of the rifle. I have to tilt my head over in order to get inline with the scope.

Do any of you have any ideas for something thin i could use to raise my head up but still be able to remove it easy to clean the rifle? Im considering using a mix of duct tape, foam and velcro to make one that just velcros on. I made one in the past with floral foam molded into shape and covered with duck tape and sealed with plastidip spray. It was laced on though and was a pain to remove to clean the rifle.

So what kind of ideas can you and have you come up with to deal with this issue on your rifles?

You could try a Karsten Cheekpiece, here:

For $60. plus shipping, it's neat and clean looking, as compared to sticking duct tape, velcro, and foam odds on ends on your stock.

But hey, whatever works, works, it does not matter how it looks. The most important thing is for you to be comfortable behind your stock.

Re: Cheek Piece ideas

There are a couple of threads here about shop made cheek pieces. You'll find one I started a week or so ago if you search. They're easy to make, and since you'll have control of the design, you can make whatever you want.

The one I made is bolted to the rifle, but I toyed with the idea of velcro. I think it would work fine. Before making the one I did, I fooled with any number of combinations of foam and tape. They were all cheap and easy to make, but not very durable and not easy to remove.

Oh, I don't know. I used a size 4 Huggies diaper for a recoil pad last week. Tucked in between layers, it did a fine job.
