Cheytac case holder for the Hornady 50BMG press

For those of you that own a 50BMG press, it comes with a nice beefy shell holder for the BMG, and an insert that takes the standard shell-holders. Well, I haven't had a lot of luck with the insert: it's not made for a case based on the 505 Gibbs. So, I spoke with Lonnie at Hornady's custom shop and they are going to make some BMG style holders for my Cheytac. I've requested two for myself. If you are also interested in something like this, please give Lonnie a call at Hornady at extension 208.

I talked to Lonnie on the phone today and got mine ordered up. Great guy and great customer service. It doesn't sound like this is going to be put into production so if anyone wants one you have to call and get it built. They don't want to spend the time and cost making a bunch of these things if there isn't going to be a demand for them, which is completely understandable.

Hypertex, thanks for posting this and if you're the one who sent him the cases to work with thanks again for that too.

yes, he is very accomodating. I guess they realized I was serious when they received the two cases in the mail.
