Chinese EV's are so HOT right now so effin HOOOOTTTTTTTTT.

The only improvement that communists have ever brought to the world are refinements to murder and torture.

true!

let me add ... slave labor, propaganda, high-level thief of any and all valuable intellectual property, establishing alternative societies built on concentration camp living conditions. Maybe innovations in human wave tactical operations too, although one could argue based on results in Ukraine that they haven't improved much - a belt fed machine gun pretty much decimates the human wave whether its 1917, 1944 or 2023.

Many of the things you bring up I would put under the torture umbrella. You also left out the best example of the "human wave" attacks, 1952 Korea.

Story time:

I don't remember the book but I remember the story, a US tank platoon, so at full strength 6 tanks. Overnighting somewhere with minimum foot support. Some reason or another, I want to say bio break it was discovered that swarms of chinese are coming in and fast. No time to warm up the engines in sub zero temps, so they just waited and "lock and loaded". The story went that the Americans would fire the machine guns on the friendly tanks and sweep the chinese off them. I don't remember why no specific anti tank weapons, likely just not available but humans are. And for roughly 3 hours they raked their own tanks with machine gun fire. At dawn piles of dead chinese piled around the tanks, and the belts down to the last of the ammunition. I want to say the book was Give me tomorrow, but I could easy get them mixed up, I tend to do that.

The moral of the story is machine guns work great, till you run out of ammo. And this is what those in charge of those countries count on, more people then bullets. It worked before.
