anyway, having a hard time editing, and sizing the pics. The one w/ blue layout dye, has more plastic support above the aluminum, Can any of you post which style you have, and about when you bought it (theres a ridge that can be felt at end of forearm with wire/paper clip, if in question). Also any experience w/ problems such as alignment etc., that you may have found with either. As for the one that appears it's low on plastic, I'm gathering that was intentional. Anyone have any thoughts on how it benefits/improvement, over the other/purple one? These are both same model #, Savage blind mag centerfeed. thanks

thank you for your post. I kinda thought, it was the other way around, but you may be right. I'm having a hard time trying to figure this out. Both these were recently shipped, and been getting conflicting info from those involved. anybody else?

Mine is from 2011, it looks like the one you have blued up, with the lettering on the inside. Zero fitment issues on a Rem 700 varmint.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind having the other one with less plastic in there, it looks like it would give a place to add some lead for weight.

If I had to venture a guess the one without the markings is a blem and/or was white labeled. It clearly looks like the lettering was machined or ground out.

Thomas, thank you for your reply, with a date. I don't think I want to add any weight to them, but, I can understand why you, or some others would. Member 6.5SH, thank you for your feedback also, what you say, sounds logical thinking, and has/has me confused too. The inside of the forearm, isnt machined, it is that way from a mold. But right down the center, it looks like maybe a some type of sander was used, possibly to take out a seam/line from the mold. But there are no cutter marks in there anywhere. I can take some closer pics, if you'd like. I've havent been able to try fitting the gun in the stock w/ less supportive plastic. I have mounted the gun, in the purple stock w/ more supportive plastic, which is the one w/ known problems, here are some pics:
