Choosing Camo

Re: Choosing Camo

If you get one of the name brands of camp, you'll be able to match other item. Myself I'm using Multicam, not everybody does everything. Looking around at all the item you would like in camo and see who has the most matched item.

Thank you for that. I now must paint everything I own in that fashion.

Nice rifle!

Re: Choosing Camo

Do you want it to look cool or to blend in? If you live in NY I would suggest the GAP woodland camo. Are you painting this pattern on yourself? If you are painting, my suggestion when it comes to stock color is OD.

Re: Choosing Camo

Hope you don't mind me being devil's advocate, but you can get an AICS 1.5 brand new from milehighshooting for ~ 800 bucks. You'll have your DBM system on a rock solid platform that you'll be able to upgrade as money allows. You can cammo it yourself with some stencils and flat krylon paint. If you mess up, krylon is removable.

If you're looking for a molded in pattern, you can't beat some of the marble patterns McMillan offers or Manner's Desert Sage, GAP, or Woodland cammo patterns.

Lots of people use them. If you're looking for a "drop-in" DBM system, it's worth considering. IMO, outfitting a B&C or an HS precision doesn't pass the cost vs benefit test (better value with Manners or McMillan or a chassis system)
