I own a 26" Remington 700 SPS Varmint 1/12 twist. I want to chop this down to 18 inches, moving in the woods I have been getting hung up and generally feel off balance with such a long barrel.
I was wondering if I would be able to use my same muzzle brake. It looks like the barrel only tapers out .1 inches which would be .05 inches around the whole diameter. I measured this using a pipe wrench. Would this be noticeable? The Brake is currently flush with my barrel.
