Guys just receivrd this from The Tactical Wire and there is a Family Trust being set up for the familys of Chris & Chad please read below.
Family Trusts
Last weekend's murders of former SEAL and "American Sniper" author Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield have shaken the special forces community- and the shooting world.

To many in both those tightly-knit communities, Kyle was a great example of a warrior, father, and husband. Kyle's close friendship with Littlefield -and his willingness to help with the outreach to troubled veterans- speaks volumes about him as well.

Unfortunately, I never met Chad. And I didn't know Chris well, but the few times I spoke with him, I found the same kind of quiet confidence common in men who have nothing to prove to anyone. I also found a devoted husband and loving father who would much rather talk to you about his family than his four tours of duty in Afghanistan or the chest full of medals he'd collected for his work with the SEALS.

As a community, we are diminished by the loss of both men, but our loss is nothing like the losses to their families. Plenty of people, including our readers, have asked: is there anything we can do to help?

I'm glad to tell you that there is.

The guys at www.tacticaltshirts.com have created a memorial shirt for Chris and Chad and designated the profits from each ($10/per shirt) to a pair of trusts established for the Kyle and Littlefield families.

The Chris Kyle Memorial Trust is being administered by Chris Kirkpatrick, attorney for the Kyle family and Craft International, LLC, the training company Kyle founded.

As Kirkpatrick explained to me yesterday, "it's been a tragic and hectic couple of days trying to process the events of last Saturday and coping with the aftermath. Both Chad and Chris were great guys -and will be missed terribly."

Both men leave behind young children who won't have the chance to know first-hand what great guys their dads were. As Kirkpatrick reminded me, "they were great friends, and Chris would be pissed at all of us if we didn't take care of both families."

Couldn't agree more. So....what you're reading here is the first "official" announcement of the trusts and the tribute t-shirts.

Word of the t-shirts first leaked out on Tuesday. On Tuesday night, incoming orders crashed the tacticaltshirts.com web server.

With that logistical problem, and the question of absolute accountability for funds collected, we decided to sit tight on any announcements until we could offer you -reliably- the ability to contribute if you wanted, knowing all the donations would go to the families.

We've been assured by Marky at www.tacticaltshirts.com that they've migrated to another server capable of handling the traffic. And Chris Kirkpatrick/The Craft has confirmed the trust funds are established and running.

If you want to donate to the Kyle and Littlefield families, you can learn more about the trusts established for the families The Craft website. From there, you can follow the instructions for donations via credit card, check or wire transfer.

You can get the memorial t-shirts from the guys at tacticaltshirts.com at http://tacticaltshirts.com/shop/shirt-chris-kyle-memorial-t-shirt/.

As always, we'll keep you posted.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

I ordered my 2. I hope everyone else on the hide buys several. I think they go well with our small community here.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

I didn't take one of the shirts but gladly made a direct donation to both families. I think as a community we owe it to these men's families to do some small part for them, for all they have done for us.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

I'll be making a donation as well. I'm surprised to see the lack of attention to this thread, on this site. I hope that is not a reflection of the support. This is a big deal in this community.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

Just donated to both families...

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

Thanks for posting this, I don't know how far money will go to help these individuals in this time of sorrow, but I don't know of any way else to help. God help Mr. Kyles and his friends family and children get through this tragic event and may we never forget them. God bless CK and CL you are my heros.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

I will be placing an order for shirts as soon as I figure out how many of each size.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

Don't know any better way to help these family's by this and buying Chris's book. They need all the help they can get during these times.

Chris didn't make money off of his book, that was for the families of his fallen brothers.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

This was an unfortunate thing to occur and my thoughts and prayers are with both families during this time of remembrance in the celebration of life.

Thanks for the reference link, I'm down.

Prairie Winds my friends.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

Thank you for the information and the link. I will be buying several shirts for my wife and I.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

This thread needs to be at the top for a while longer.

Re: Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield Family Trust

I was in the website and just saw this thread linked to us. So I figured I would take a minute to post. Honestly, we've been so busy with working out the details with the Craft attorney, filling orders, and answering e-mails, I haven't had any time to visit the Hide, shoot guns or do anything firearms related beyond work.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone on The Hide for their support for this drive. We are working 12 hour days to fill orders.

Honestly, we never expected the kind of response. But decided to just power through and really do what we can to help these families out. Orders placed today have a published 4-6 week backorder, but we have serious hopes of beating that by a great deal. But I can't make promises yet. We are pushing out orders daily. Also, our system will e-mail you when we mark your order complete. That gives you a heads-up to look out for it.

Mr. Williams of Raven Rifles brings up a good point. We started this drive to try to drive "new people" to donate to the families. You don't need to buy a shirt to donate. We have links from the Memorial page on our site to donate directly to the Kyle & Littlefield families. We encourage you to donate.

But if the shirt will make the difference between making a donation and thinking, "I need to make a donation but...." Buy a shirt. That's why we are doing this.

All profits go to the families. And Craft will certify that.

Regards,
Marky
