I have a 16' MPR 308. It is a light rifle and probably not the best choice for comps, but if your fundamentals are good, it will work just fine. It would not be my first choice as a comp gun, but I would not hesitate to use mine in a comp just for fun. As a matter of fact, I probably will use mine in a comp sometime just for the hell of it. Mine is primarily going to be used as a light weight (packable) hunting rifle. What better way to prepare for hunting with it than shooting a comp? Now if you are buying a rifle strictly for comps, then the MPR is definitely not the best choice, but if you just want to shoot a comp with it, no problem. Proper fundamentals and spotting hits/misses shouldn't be an issue, especially with a 6.5 CM.
